Rachwill Denlee Breidel is a sound, installation, and performance artist creating interactive systems and performative compositions. In his recent projects, he explores the trance aspect of the Surinamese belief system Winti. The trance state in Winti is initiated through ritual, often accompanied by elements such as smoke, fire, dance, and music. By combining these elements with an artscience methodology, he explores the significance of the trance state to the human experience.

Building on this, Breidel reinterprets these ritual elements through Winti-Futurism in a science fiction concept called KOIRI. A speculative character within Winti-Futurism where a performer merges with future descendants through rhythm to embody rituals of future societies. Here, he explores their complexity by merging dance, sound, light, and computer programming. Rhythm functions as the core binding medium, where speed, movement, form, and intensity converge.
