A event inspired by the Surinamese Winti belief system, where artists create performances and installations centered around playing with improvisation to explore states of consciousness

OGRI METI an event at Instrument inventors initiative

Role:Curator, production and installation

For this project together with Kay Churcher we created a performative strobe light installation, designed and programmed specially for OGRI METI to put the Winti ritual in a futurstic perspective by using modern technology. During live performances, we controlled the light installation to improvise on the performers' performances. The combination of improvisation and the disorienting effects of the installation put the audience in a trance, resulting in a magical unique dance experience

This project can’t be documented due to the fact that it’s something that should be experienced
